Aluminum Laptop Case
An aluminum laptop case offers the protection of a hard
surface with the cushion of inside fiber when traveling, by
air, bus, or simply placing a laptop into the trunk of a car
with other luggage. Most modern luggage has gone from the
hard carrier that was popular twenty years ago, to fabric
bags. The added protection of the metal shell around the
padded interior that is present in aluminum laptop cases,
will provide peace of mind in any situation. Fortunately,
people don't need cases for themselves.
An added feature to most laptop carriers is the lock feature
on the lid. This enables the owner to lock the case in the
up position and use the computer without ever taking it out
of the case. An aluminum notebook case weighs about five
lbs. If a person is going to have to carry the computer for
a long distance, he or she might want to use a luggage cart
rather than bearing that much weight at the end of one arm
or on the shoulder--especially if there are other bags to
carry.
Security is important for one's portable computer. Aluminum
laptop cases are equipped with locks opened by a key, or a
combination. Because they are not quite as common as the
fabric cases, these carriers are easy to spot if someone
should pick one up by mistake, or attempt to steal one. The
cost of a carrier will generally run between $39.00 and
$200.00, and if consumers want to pick up a still more
expensive case, it is available. A carrier usually has
pockets for CDs and other equipment, and they will handle a
notebook computer up to fifteen inches in size. Some
aluminum cases are equipped with a security strap, and most
have a shoulder strap as well as the conventional handle for
carrying.
Since laptops are purchased for their mobility, carriers are
a good answer for keeping them from being damaged in
transport. While portable computers look pretty sturdy, they
are in fact delicate machines that cannot take rough
handling. The added protection of an aluminum notebook case
with its padded interior keeps the possibility of damage at
a minimum. It's a good idea to always have one's laptop in a
special case rather than in a regular piece of luggage.
Fabric cases are acceptable under circumstances where there
is little chance of bumping against something hard or
dropping luggage, but the added protection provided by a
carrier is preferable when the surroundings aren't quite so
predictable.
Carriers add an air of professionalism when carrying a
laptop to a meeting, or to and from the office. Quite a
number of students carry their laptops with them these days,
and the temptation is great to just put them in the
backpack. Unless it is a padded backpack, this is not a good
idea. An aluminum notebook case would be a better way to
ensure the safety of a student's laptop, even if it has to
be carried outside the backpack.
There are still plenty of briefcase-styled laptop cases, and
some styled like large handbags for ladies. Some of them are
styled like luggage, with pull-up handles and wheels. One's
particular circumstances will go a long way toward helping
them decide what kind of container to choose for their
notebook. However, the advent of aluminum laptop cases has
given those, who frequently travel with their laptop
computers, to have a more secure and safe way to transport
them. A carrier provides those features most important for
making sure the laptop gets from point A to point B without
mishap, and offers protection for what goes on in between. A
cloth bag, for instance, may not offer enough protection in
the event of a liquid spill onto the case. No matter what
the situation, computer owners will know their computer is
safe and secure with an aluminum laptop case.
